Our actions and projects
Education
Cap Développement has made a major contribution to improving education in Burkina Faso by building several elementary school. These include the six-classroom Driko school, completed in 1996, the Féléwé school, extended in 2003 to include a third class, and the six-classroom Konan Kaïra school, opened in 2009. These infrastructures have also been complemented by housing for teachers, latrines and kitchens, improving living and learning conditions in these villages.

Féléwé School
Between 2017 and 2021, the association continued its efforts to build a middle school in Konankoïra. This new facility includes four classrooms and an administrative building, giving local students access to quality secondary education in adapted infrastructures. This project is in line with Cap Développement’s commitment to promoting educational continuity and reducing the obstacles associated with the remoteness of school facilities.

In addition, between 2008 and 2017, the association set up a hostel for young people from Driko attending secondary school in Nouna. This home has provided a secure setting and favorable conditions for the pursuit of their studies, by meeting the accommodation and support needs of these students who are far from their family homes.

Foster home
Cap Développement also supports education by collecting books for children. These carefully selected books enrich school libraries, enabling pupils to discover the pleasure of reading while reinforcing their reading skills.
