30 YEARS OF THE NGO

To celebrate its 30th anniversary on 21 December 2024, Cap Développement is organising an anniversary year packed with events in Normandy. The aim is to raise the profile of the association, attract new volunteers and donors, and strengthen its impact.

A number of highlights are planned: a ceremony to present commemorative batiks on 29 March 2025, a tour of Artisans du Monde shops between March and April, and educational activities on the game of awélé starting in September. The association is also planning to welcome the NGO’s Burkinabé director to France between June and September, as well as Burkinabé artists for workshops in schools between October and December. Other initiatives include the award of medals for community involvement to Arbin/Cruet and the creation of a collective of associations for development, with a first meeting scheduled for 28 February 2025.
